A Penny for the World    

Beginning the weekend of May 3 and 4, the parish made a commitment to

give 1% of the weekly collection to charitable causes.  We do this to thank

God by giving our “First fruits” to help people around the world and in

our own backyard.   The first ‘penny’ of every dollar we receive each week will

be given to an individual, group or organization.  While we will continue the

works of giving already established this penny of commitment will help

enlighten us to the needs of the world around us.  It is our prayer that the

fruits we will harvest through this new giving will fill us with greater spirit

than ever before.

We invite you to suggest a charity, organization or individual who might

benefit from this humble program.  If you know of or are aware of a need,

please tell us.  Write a note or use the space below and drop it off at the

Parish Center care of “A Penny for the World”.
